Once again on the road (soto speak), flying off into the sunset. Sometimes it feels like I’m living at the airport. Always bittersweet: I’m fortunate to have a job that lets me feed my family, but dislike having to leave them every other week for that. I’ll be honest – I was skeptical about hoverboards, but I was so sure twenty years ago that by now, business trips would be extremely rare and the preserve of professions where a personal touch is paramount. I wonder I my generation, raised on Twitter and YouTube and Skype, will be able to change this. Having personally run successful outfits where we rarely if ever met our colleagues in person yet felt like we spent months sitting next to them, I know it’s not impossible.
